Updates from a WHS Spanish exchange student

Hola,

Today was another tiresome day in Spain. We walked six miles (in the rain) on the Camino de Santiago which led to the Catedral de Santiago de Compostela, a huge church. After our long walk, we actually got to go on the roof of the church – which was awesome – and see all of the squares and shops below. Yesterday, we toured around the Betanzos, the town we are staying in, and got to know the surroundings. The meal times here are so different. They have lunch at 3 or 3:30  and dinner at 10:30 or 11! By the time 11 o’clock rolls around, I am starving.

Adiós,

Jackson

Hola from Spain!

We exchange students arrived in Spain early Sunday morning with little sleep, but that didn’t keep us from having a fun-packed day. After all the reuniting was done in the airport, they hustled us off to a restaurant for a huge meal that was waiting for us. Throughout the rest of the day it was nice to experience all the cultural surroundings and catch up with old friends. Tomorrow, we have our first day of classes. We will follow our hosts to each class, even if they have a test…ugh.

Adiós!

Jackson
