The Wayland School Committee decided to have Cohort B attend school in-person on Monday, Dec. 21 and Tuesday, Dec. 22 in order to equalize the amount of days that each Cohort goes to school in-person. With this change, Cohort B will only miss one day in-person compared to Cohort A.

With Thanksgiving just finished and many family members meeting up, returning to school in an in-person hybrid model has some students concerned. However, students like Junior Kevin Luo believes as long as everyone returning has followed the proper procedures, we can remain in a safe, hybrid model. It was just harder to pay attention, Luo said. We just [need to] pray that all the college students took a legitimate test and people are still respecting the rules.”

Due to COVID-19 cancelling many fundraisers in the final months of the 2019-2020 school year, the WHS class of 2022 lost significant funding for their prom. In order to make up for this loss, the junior class will be selling pre-portioned cookie dough for $20.
